Why
should I use your service rather than doing it myself?
eBay
and other online auctions can be very time consuming for
those who do not have the time or experience. Incorrect
or incomplete auctions can be costly to you as a seller.
auction-ri has been selling on eBay and other auction
sites for more than four years. Our auction management software
has been developed to provide sellers with a simple and
seamless experience. This may result in higher bids for
you and satisfaction for the buyer.
Our
staff has the experience and reputation to extensively research
the items you have for sale. We determine the optimum value
your items may bring. We write a professional listing for
your auction and place the item in the categories buyers
will search. We take high resolution professional pictures
to display in your auction and we handle all emails and
questions from buyers. auction-ri will accept and
process any credit card or electronic payments. We package
and ship your items safely to the buyer. In addition, we
handle any returns or damage claims.
Anyone
can sell on eBay and other auction sites. auction-ri
offers people who are too busy or unfamiliar with computers
the opportunity to sell without the hassle!
If you are interested in selling yourself, auction-ri
provides classes and assistance in learning how to sell
on eBay.

Can you tell me what something I have
is worth, even if I don't want you to sell it for me?
With
the huge market that eBay serves, it is a wonderful way
to find the real value of an item. If you chose not to sell
with us, but still wonder what your item is worth, we can
research and find the true value of your item for a small
fee.

What
kind of items do you accept?
We
sell and accept a wide variety of items. Items must be owned
by you, legal to sell on eBay. (Check out what
is prohibited to sell on eBay.) Items must be shipable
by UPS or similar carrier or the US Postal Service, and
have an eBay value over $30.00*.

Please call auction-ri to determine if your item(s)
meet our minimum requirements for value. We may accept lower
valued items if you have more than one item or are selling
multiple same items.

Who is responsible for the shipping charges?
The
buyer who wins your auction is responsible for all shipping
charges. auction-ri determines these charges based
on carrier requirements (such as weight and size), and places
all shipping and handling charges in the auction description
so the buyer knows estimated shipping or actual cost before
they bid and buy.

What are your fees and what does this cover?
There
is NO UPFRONT PAYMENT REQUIRED to use our service.
Our commission is 25% on any item you sell under $499.00
and 18% on any item over $500.00. These fees are deducted
from the amount you receive for your sold items. There are
no hidden fees.

Can I set a RESERVE PRICE for my auction?
How does that work?
A
reserve price is a set price for which the item must sell
on eBay. More often than not, our experience has shown that
our initial research and a professional listing will generate
higher bids than setting a reserve price. If a customer
prefers to use a reserve, the listing fees for the auction
must be prepaid.

When will my auction be online?
Once
auction-ri has researched the item and reviewed the
listing information and fees with you, the listing will
be online (published on the auction site) the next business
day.

I noticed an error in my item's auction.
How will it be resolved?
The
auction-ri staff makes every effort to be certain
an item is listed accurately and without error. If you notice
an error, auction-ri will revise the listing immediately,
or pull the auction and relist immediately. As mentioned
above, all listing information is reviewed with the customer
prior to listing.

When will I receive my check and how much?
Upon
the successful end of an auction sale, auction-ri
will receive payment and ship your item. You will receive
a check within 28 business days after we receive payment
from the buyer.

What happens if my item doesn't sell?
If
an item doesn't sell the first time, at the customer request,
auction-ri will list it again for free. If it doesn't
sell the second time, the customer has the option to pick
up the item or have it donated to charity (for a possible
tax deduction).
